Components of PMAY

- Interest Subsidy under Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS):
- Interest subsidies on housing loans up to 6.5% for a maximum of 20 years.
- Different subsidy rates for EWS, LIG, MIG-I, and MIG-II categories.
- In-Situ Slum Redevelopment (ISSR):
- Using land as a resource to provide houses to slum dwellers and integrate them into formal urban settlements.
- Beneficiary-Led Construction (BLC):
- Financial assistance of up to ₹1.5 lakh per family for new house construction or improvement of an existing house.
- Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP):
- Partnership with private and public sectors to build affordable housing.
Eligibility Criteria
Economic Categories:
- Economically Weaker Section (EWS):
- Annual household income up to ₹3 lakh.
- Low-Income Group (LIG):
- Annual household income between ₹3 lakh and ₹6 lakh.
- Middle-Income Group I (MIG-I):
- Annual income between ₹6 lakh and ₹12 lakh.
- Middle-Income Group II (MIG-II):
- Annual income between ₹12 lakh and ₹18 lakh.
Beneficiary Conditions:
- Should not own a pucca house in any part of India.
- The property should be in the name of the applicant or a female family member (mandatory for EWS and LIG).
- Applicants must submit Aadhaar details to avoid duplication.
How to Apply for PMAY ?
A. Online Application
- Visit the official PMAY website: https://pmaymis.gov.in/.
- Click on the “Citizen Assessment” tab.
- Choose the relevant option based on your economic category or housing needs.
- Enter your Aadhaar details and proceed.
- Fill out the application form with personal, income, and family details.
- Submit the form and note down the application reference number for tracking.
B. Offline Application
- Visit the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC).
- Collect and fill out the PMAY application form.
- Submit the form along with necessary documents (Aadhaar, income proof, address proof, etc.).
- A reference number will be provided for future tracking.
