This state-of-the-art facility is a key milestone in India’s effort to build a comprehensive longitudinal health database to facilitate personalised treatment and precision medicine.
About the Phenome India National Biobank
- Modelled after UK Biobank, tailored to India’s diverse population.
- Will collect genomic, clinical, and lifestyle data from 10,000 individuals across India.
- Aims to tackle complex diseases such as:
- Diabetes
- Cardiovascular diseases
- Cancer
- Rare genetic disorders
