- Decision to Create a Dedicated e-Market:
- Based on the recommendations of the Group of Secretaries, the Hon’ble Prime Minister approved the creation of a dedicated online marketplace for the procurement of goods and services by Government Organisations, Departments, and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs). The objective was to build a centralized digital platform that would simplify and modernize the government’s procurement system.
- Transformation of DGS&D into a Digital Portal:
- This decision involved converting the traditional Directorate General of Supplies and Disposals (DGS&D) into a modern digital e-commerce portal.
