PRAGATI was launched on March 25, 2015, with the aim of redressing the grievances of common man and monitoring other important programs and projects of the Government of India.
The PRAGATI platform has been prepared in-house by the PMO team in association with NIC.
It combines digital data management, video conferencing, and geospatial technology.
- The platform holds a rare combination of the Secretaries of Government of India with the Chief Secretaries of the States in cooperative federalism.
- The Prime Minister gets an opportunity to discuss matters and issues with Central and State officials based on full information and latest visuals.
- The whole system rests on a three-tier system comprising PMO, Union Government Secretaries, and Chief Secretaries of the States.
- The problem is flagged in seven days prior to PRAGATI Day and can be accessed by the Union Government Secretaries as well as the Chief Secretaries.
- The data entered by Secretaries and Chief Secretaries gets reviewed by PMO on Tuesday.
