  • Arab League Summit: The 33rd Arab League Summit was held in Manama, Bahrain.
  • Critical Minerals Summit: The Ministry of Mines organized the “Critical Minerals Summit: Enhancing Beneficiation and Processing Capabilities.”
  • Tiger Landscapes Conference: The Sustainable Finance for Tiger Landscapes Conference concluded in Bhutan by adopting the Paro Statement.
  • UN Conference on Digital Public Infrastructure: The first United Nations Conference on ‘Citizen Stack: Digital Public Infrastructure, Transformative Technology for Citizens’ was held in New York, United States.
  • UN Trade and Development: The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) has been rebranded as “UN Trade and Development,” with its headquarters located in Geneva, Switzerland.
  • Interpol Conference: The 19th Interpol Conference of Heads of National Central Bureaux was held in Lyon, France.
  • Cultural Heritage and Peace Conference: UNESCO organized the International Conference “Cultural Heritage and Peace: Building on 70 years of the Hague Convention” in The Hague, Netherlands.
  • Intellectual Property Treaty Conference: The Treaty on Intellectual Property, Genetic Resources, and Associated Traditional Knowledge was adopted at a Diplomatic Conference held under the aegis of WIPO in Geneva, Switzerland.
  • SIDS-4 Conference: The 4th International Conference on Small Island Developing States (SIDS-4) was held in Antigua and Barbuda.

June 2024

  • The inaugural Kavango-Zambezi (KAZA) Trans-Frontier Conservation Area (TFCA) summit has been held in Zambia.
  • India participated in the “AI for Good” Global Summit held in Geneva, Switzerland. This summit was organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
  • The East Asia Summit (EAS) and Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Regional Forum (ARF) Senior Officials’ Meetings were held in Vientiane, Lao PDR.
  • The Indian Prime Minister participated in the 2024 G7 summit organized in Apulia, Italy.
  • The 51st G7 Leaders’ Summit (2025) will be hosted in Kananaskis, Alberta, Canada.
  • Pavan Kapoor, Secretary (West) in the Ministry of External Affairs, represented India at the Summit on Peace in Ukraine titled “Path to Peace Summit”. This summit was hosted by Switzerland.

July 2024

  • External Affairs Minister of India will represent India at the annual summit of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) in Astana, Kazakhstan.
  • The Global IndiaAI Summit in New Delhi was organised by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
  • India hosted the 6th East Asia Summit (EAS) Conference on Maritime Security Cooperation in Mumbai, in partnership with Australia and Indonesia.
  • The Ministry of Information Broadcasting will organise the first edition of the World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES) in November 2024 in Goa.
  • The first International Dairy Federation (IDF) Regional Dairy Conference Asia Pacific-2024 was held in Kochi.
  • India is set to host the second Asia Pacific (APAC) ministerial conference on civil aviation in New Delhi, jointly organised by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) APAC.

August 2024

  • Central Water Commission (CWC) has been honored with the GEEF Global WaterTech Award in the category ‘Water Department of the Year’ at the Global Water Tech Summit – 2024.
  • The first edition of the BIMSTEC Business Summit was held in New Delhi, and hosted by the Ministry of External Affairs in association with the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII).
  • India will host the 3rd ‘Voice of Global South Summit’ to address pressing global challenges that disproportionately affect the Global South.
  • The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting launched 25 challenges as part of the ‘Create in India Challenge – Season 1’ for the World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES).
  • Tech Leaders Forum of India (TELFI) was officially launched at the World Education Conference 2024 in Dubai.
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 32nd International Conference of Agricultural Economists (ICAE) at the National Agricultural  Science Centre (NASC) Complex, New Delhi. The theme for this year’s conference is “Transformation Towards Sustainable Agri-Food Systems”.
  • The India Mauritius Trade Conference 2024 was organized in Port Louis, Mauritius, by the Indian Economic Trade Organization (IETO) in association with the India Africa Trade Council (IETC).
  • The 28th Conference of Central and State Statistical Organizations (COCSSO), organized by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI), was held in New Delhi.
  • The 8th Dharma Dhamma conference was organized by the India Foundation in collaboration with Gujarat University, Ahmedabad.

September 2024

  • Recently, the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) announced the third edition of the India-US Defense Acceleration Ecosystem (INDUS-X) Summit to strengthen partnerships in defense innovation. It is set to take place at Stanford University, California.
  • The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) hosted the ‘Financing Summit 3.0’ to discuss the future of India’s financial sector in the context of the nation’s vision for a ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047.
  • The third edition of the INDUS-X Summit was co-organised by USISPF and Stanford University.
  • The second edition of the Global Food Regulators Summit 2024 has been inaugurated by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).
  • The summit unveiled a new website for the Food Import Clearance System 2.0 (FICS 2.0), aimed at faster processing and transparency.
  • A millets recipe show titled ‘Flavours of Shree Anna – Sehat aur Swaad Ke Sang’ has been launched as a 13-episode series on Doordarshan to promote millet-based recipes.
  • The Indian government will host the inaugural World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES) from February 5 to 9, 2025, with support from the Telangana state government.
  • The maiden Joint Commanders’ Conference (JCC) under the theme ‘Sashakt and Surakshit Bharat: Transforming Armed Forces’ commenced at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
  • The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) of India, in collaboration with the Sankala Foundation, organized a national conference on ‘Universal Access to Healthcare: Digital Solutions’ in New Delhi.
  • The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), along with the Ministry of Textiles and the Indian Technical Textile Association (ITTA), organized the international conference “Viksit Bharat- Technical Textiles for Sustainable Growth & Development” in New Delhi.
  • The second edition of the “Joint Doctrine Review Conference (JDRC-2024)” was conducted in Delhi, organized by the Headquarters Integrated Defence Staff (HQ IDS).
  • Prime Minister addressed the second International Conference on Green Hydrogen 2024 (ICGH-2024), with the industry partner being FICCI.
  • The 2nd Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Civil Aviation (APMC) was inaugurated, organized by the Ministry of Civil Aviation in partnership with the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).
  • Defence Minister Rajnath Singh addressed the second edition of the bi-annual Naval Commanders’ Conference 2024 in New Delhi.
  • Sang Wook Ham has been elected as the President of the 68th General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
  • Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh inaugurated the 41st edition of the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) Commanders Conference in New Delhi.

October 2024

  • The 2024 Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit, also known as the 23rd Meeting of the Council of the Heads of Government, was held in Islamabad, Pakistan.
  • Indo-Pacific Regional Dialogue (IPRD) 2024, the annual apex-level international conference of the Indian Navy, is set to take place in New Delhi with the National Maritime Foundation (NMF) as the chief organizer.
  • Conference on ‘Maritime Decarbonization in India’ was co-hosted by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) along with the Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways.
  • The Second Army Commanders’ Conference for 2024 will be held in two phases in a hybrid mode, with the first phase planned in Gangtok, Sikkim.
  • India Digital Agri Conference 2024 was organized to explore digital technology’s impact on farming in India, co-organized by the Indian Chamber of Food and Agriculture (ICFA) and IIT Ropar TIF – AwaDH.
  • Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi launched the Agniastra, a portable multi-target detonation device, during the Army Commanders’ Conference in Gangtok, Sikkim.
  • India hosted the 19th International Conference of Drug Regulatory Authorities (ICDRA) for the first time in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), with CDSCO as the host. The theme was “Smart Regulation: Delivering Quality Assured Medical Products for All.”
  • All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), New Delhi organized its first international conference, Advancements of Research & Global Opportunities for Holistic Ayurveda (AROHA-2024).
  • The Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare held the National Conference on Agriculture for Rabi Campaign 2024 in New Delhi, setting a national food grain production target of 341.55 million tonnes for 2024-25.
  • The 15th Kaleidoscope Academic Conference was organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in New Delhi.
  • Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs organized the 17th Urban Mobility India Conference & Expo-2024 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
  • The United Nations Biodiversity Conference (COP16), a two-week event to evaluate historic commitments to halt and reverse biodiversity loss, was inaugurated in Cali, Colombia.

November 2024

  • 11th Edition of Asia Clean Energy Summit (ACES) 2024 was recently held in Singapore.
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi gifted a Sohrai painting to Russian President Vladimir Putin during the recently held BRICS summit in Kazan, Russia. The painting is associated with the state of Jharkhand.
  • The Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with the International Buddhist Confederation (IBC), organized the First Asian Buddhist Summit (ABS) in New Delhi. The theme of the summit was ‘Role of Buddha Dhamma in Strengthening Asia’.
  • Brazil launched the Global Alliance Against Hunger and Poverty during the opening of the G20 Summit 2024.
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the 2nd India-CARICOM Summit alongside the Prime Minister of Grenada, H.E. Mr. Dickon Mitchell in Georgetown, Guyana.
  • Brazil officially transferred the Group of 20 (G20) Presidency to South Africa during the closing ceremony of the G20 Summit 2024 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
  • The 2024 G20 Rio de Janeiro summit was the nineteenth meeting of the Group of Twenty (G20), held from 18–19 November 2024 at the Museum of Modern Art in Rio de Janeiro. It was the first G20 summit hosted by Brazil and marked the first full summit with the African Union as a member.
  • The Brazilian presidency for the G20 officially started on 1 December 2023, with President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva as chair. The theme of the G20 Summit 2024 was ‘Building a Just World and a Sustainable Planet’.
