ICCCs are the financial nerve centers of more than 100 smart cities in which states and municipalities have failed to financially support them.

- These mainly include city infrastructure management, monitoring of civic services, traffic and transportation management, safety and surveillance.
- The challenges to be addressed under the Smart City Mission and also one of the biggest concerns for the ICCCs is financial sustainability.
India’s Smart Cities Mission and Integrated Command and Control Centers (ICCC)

- 25 June 2015, the Smart Cities Mission (SCM) shortlisted 100 cities for development.
- Ministry
- The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA).
- The Operationalization of Integrated Command and Control Centers (ICCC) in all Smart Cities has been a major milestone.
- ICCCs
- ICCCs have enhanced urban services in crime tracking, citizen safety, transport management, solid waste management, and water supply.
- ICCCs promote coordination among departments. They help integrate the key city departments: Traffic Police, Health, Water, Solid Waste management, and Irrigation.
