Context:
The INSV Kaundinya, a hand-stitched wooden sailing ship, successfully completed a historic voyage from Porbandar (India) to Muscat (Oman) in January 2026, retracing ancient Indian Ocean trade routes. It is named after Kaundinya, the legendary Indian mariner and merchant associated with early maritime trade between India and Southeast Asia.
