Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated Pongal and highlighted the Kashi–Tamil Sangamam initiative as a powerful symbol of India’s cultural unity amid diversity, reinforcing the spirit of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat.”
He articulated these views in a blog titled “Kashi-Tamil Sangamam and a tribute to ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’” and during Pongal celebrations in New Delhi.
