- Women’s Reservation: The 106th Constitutional Amendment Act, 2023 provides 33% reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and State Assemblies, subject to delimitation following the relevant census.
- Panchayats: At least one-third of seats are reserved for women under Articles 243D and 243T; some states provide 50% reservation.
