Major Proposals – Establish Empowered Agricultural Marketing Reform Committee for unified national market; – Improve farm-to-market link after declaring warehouses/cold storages on need basis as sub-market yards. – Motivate APMCs to increase their income. AI, blockchain technology for building Value Chain Centric Infrastructure. Launch Price Insurance Scheme for farmers’ income insurance. Ease of Doing AgriTrade by digital automation of mandi processes. Agricultural marketing is a State subject under Article 246 of the Constitution. Challenges are fragmented supply chain, poor access to markets, poor infrastructure, and complex regulations.
