Context
PM Narendra Modi announced a six-member high-powered task force on 26 July 2026, chaired by Nandan Nilekani, to recommend comprehensive reforms to India’s examination system. Formed in response to nationwide protests and the NEET-UG paper leak controversy. It came a day after Dharmendra Pradhan resigned as Education Minister, with Pralhad Joshi succeeding him.
