Five individual farmer producer organizations (i-FPOs) under Hindustan Zinc’s Samadhan initiative have collectively generated nearly ₹5 crore in revenue during FY24, according to a media release by the company.

Individual Farmer Producer Organizations (i-FPOs)

FPOs are organizations which are owned and managed by the farmers. They are a vehicle through which farmers collectively better their income and capacity, by gaining access to technical knowledge, inputs, and direct market linkages. FPO can be in the form of a company, cooperative society, or a mutually aided cooperative society.

Hindustan Zinc’s Samadhan Initiative

The Samadhan initiative has equipped farmers with tools and knowledge to adopt modern farming techniques, adopt sustainable irrigation methods, and integrate profitable practices like cattle rearing and horticulture.
