Japan Credit Rating Agency (JCR) upgraded India’s sovereign rating by one notch:
- BBB+ → A−
Country ceiling also upgraded to A.
Reasons cited:
- Sustained economic growth of around 7%
- GST reforms
- Digital Public Infrastructure
- Stronger bank balance sheets
- Improved financial-system soundness
