Payment Tips
Pay by debit card (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), credit card, net banking, UPI, IMPS, cash card or mobile wallet. After paying, wait for the server’s response and do not press Back or Refresh, which can cause a double charge. An e-receipt confirms success. If none is generated, the payment failed and you should log in again and repeat it. Print the e-receipt and the application form but do not send them to CWC. Applications without photograph and signature, with inappropriate images, or with unsuccessful fee payment are invalid. You should apply well before the deadline, as CWC takes no responsibility for website congestion or technical failures.
Multiple Posts
You can apply for more than one post if eligible, but each needs a separate application and fee. Only one application per post should be submitted. If you submit several for the same post, only the latest completed one is kept, and the others’ fees are forfeited. Applications cannot be withdrawn, and fees are not refunded or carried over to any other exam.
Photo, Signature and Document Upload Specifications
| Item | Format | Size | Dimensions |
|---|---|---|---|
| Photograph | Recent passport-style colour photo, light background | 20–50 KB | 200 x 230 px preferred |
| Signature | Black ink on white paper, JPG/JPEG | 10–20 KB | 140 x 60 px preferred |
| Left thumb impression | Black or blue ink on white paper, JPG/JPEG | 20–50 KB | 240 x 240 px at 200 DPI (3 cm x 3 cm) |
| Handwritten declaration | English, clear, JPG/JPEG | 50–100 KB | 800 x 400 px at 200 DPI (10 cm x 5 cm) |
Photo tips: face the camera with a relaxed expression, avoid shadows, red-eye and reflections on glasses, and do not wear caps or dark glasses. Religious headwear is fine if it does not cover the face. For the live photo, use a light background and good lighting, look straight at the camera, and avoid masks, blur or tiny images.
Scanning tips: scan at a minimum of 200 dpi in true colour and save as JPG/JPEG. If a file is too large, adjust the scanner’s DPI or colour settings, or crop and resize. Preview each upload, and re-upload if it is unclear or smudged. Make sure the photo goes in the photo slot and the signature in the signature slot. Your signature on the attendance sheet and call letter must match the uploaded one or you may be disqualified. The application will not register without all four uploads.
