Context
The Ministry of Defence organised VIMARSH 2026, a DRDO-Industry Synergy Meet, in New Delhi under the theme “Varta se Vikas” — development through dialogue.
What It Is
- A DRDO-industry engagement platform connecting defence R&D with private industry, MSMEs, start-ups, academia and manufacturing partners
- Seeks to transform defence collaboration from a buyer-seller model to a co-created technology ecosystem — spanning research, design, testing and production
Aim
- Strengthen DRDO-industry collaboration
- Reduce entry barriers for MSMEs and deep-tech start-ups
- Accelerate the development and induction of indigenous defence technologies
