  • The Centre is contemplating a PLI 2.0 scheme to build an autonomous drone ecosystem in the country.
  • The scheme would encourage local manufacturing of drones and their parts as well as services such as leasing and selling software for operating drones.
  • It will also help reduce import dependency and enhance indigenous drone manufacturing.
