- NACP Phase-V shall be aimed to end HIV/AIDS epidemic by 2030 through an integrated package of prevention, detection and treatment services.
- Salient features are:
- Around 8 crore people will be covered every year with an integrated prevention-detection-treatment service.
- Over 99.5% of the adult population will be prevented from HIV infection.
- Around 27 crore HIV tests will be done in five years of NACP Phase-V.
- 21 lakh HIV-infected people will be on Anti-Retroviral Treatment (ART) at the end of the project period.
- Approximately 80 lakh viral load tests will be done in on-ART HIV-infected persons.
